Shop History
Performance Autosport was started in 1998 after the owner, Mark LaMaskin’s, family business had been sold. He was not sure what he wanted too do and was to entrepreneurial just to go to work for someone else.
The business started as purely automotive sales with just two dogs, Riley and Spiffy…and also Mark. The first shop location was an open warehouse and Mark’s office was painted on the floor (ala Les Nessman WKRP) because there were no walls, air conditioning or even a bathroom.
PAS bought and sold all ’85-’98 Mustangs, but specialized in Saleens. The business was not just local, but included selling cars all over the world.
The second location was just down the street from the original shop and it had two offices and even a bathroom. As the business grew PAS bought a Dynojet dynamometer, hired PAS’ first employee, Kevin Adolf, and started installing parts. Before they knew it PAS had evolved into a huge business of working, building, buying, and selling Mustangs.
The business is constantly evolving. In July of 2010 PAS moved to their current location and today they don’t just work on Mustangs or Fords. Under the roof of Performance Autosport they are working on and building both GM, Ford, and Dodge products as well as several import brands such as BMW and Jaguar.
PAS’ mission is to make sure every customer leaves happy. Their business has grown by word of mouth and repeat customers.
